GT GTR bike

The GTR range of bikes from GT covers a broad range of prices from £500 to over £2000, with a variety of equipment and frames appropriate to the price.

The whole range has been designed by cycling enthusiasts to ensure that at any price point you will be gettinga high quality bike offering great value for money.

At the lower end of the price range, the bikes use a butte aluminium frame with quite basic Shimano equipment, progressing to Shimano 105 equipment on the Series 2. All bikes in the range use a carbon fork. The combination of an alloy or aluminium frame with carbon forks is successful, bringing control and lightness to the bike.

At the top of the range, around £2,000, the GTR Carbon Sport and GTR Carbon Expert have full carbon frames, again with the ever popular Shimano 105 and Ultegra equipment.

The one common factor that all the range shares - although perhaps above all the carbon models, not surprisingly - is that they get consistently good reviews for their stiffness, comfort and general cycling pleasure, whether you are cycling for leisure or training to for serious hills and distances.

One possible criticism - the bikes in the GTR series don't all stand out by virtue of their 'kerb appeal', and other bikes can look more expensive for the money.

In conclusion, the range seems to try to be all things to all men - and succeed. Good value for money from one of the leading bike manufacturers.
